A hand answering an exam question
Three and a half hour exams? Can May 14th come sooner?

Sorry for the lack of updates lately. All of us at Jarjac are knee-deep in law school finals right now, so we hope you understand the conflict. We’ll be back, ready to publish some great content in a couple weeks.

Jarjac has seen steady growth during the last two months. We want to continue expanding and plan to come back strong in mid-May. With summer only a couple finals away, we’re looking forward to finally working towards some of the larger goals we envision for the site. We’ll be writing more. We’ll unveil new features. We even hope to get you, our readers, more involved. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. . If you have any suggestions for articles you’d like to read in the future, please let us know below in the comments.

Summer means warmth, longer days, more leisure time, and vacation. It’s a great time to hit the beach, relax, and regress back to your carefree youthful days of summer. It’s also a great time to accomplish some things you don’t normally find time for.

I think it’s a good idea to set personal goals for the summer. I end up accomplishing more that way. You should try it. I’d be interested in hearing what others have planned. Leave a comment!

Perhaps you’re curious what my goals are for the summer? Here’s a peak: Read more

By Cesar,

Internetters: Participants of the internet.

Welcome to Jarjac!
You may call me Cesar. I am pleased to make your acquaintance. Midway through my life I was introduced to the idea of personal development as a very worthwhile endeavor. Our “self” consists of several parts; physical, mental, intimate, social and spiritual. If you look at all of these as muscles, then it would be logical to conclude that working these muscles frequently and in more varying ways, would strengthen them all. We are powerful creatures capable of improvement. No animal has shown the ability to learn and adapt in the same manner as human beings. We can accomplish anything we choose to in this world as long as we decide to do it and commit to the necessary tasks.

Jarjac’s aim is to divulge information to you, our readers, that can be applied to varied aspects of your existence. We have chosen to endeavor on the road to personal development and this is our method of bringing you with us for the ride. We will also interact in a method rarely seen in blogs and articles giving multiple sides of topics. We encourage discourse and intelligence. Some of you are not interested in perfection and thats okay, but learning something new never hurts.

Cesar

By Dan,

Greetings to All!

This opportunity has been a great blessing in disguise for me personally. I was asked to join this venture to offer a different personality, with a varied knowledge and opinion base. I look forward to being able to contribute to this site. I assume joining Jarjac will provide me with my own benefits and I look forward to contributing to our readership. I hope to share some of this knowledge, and expressing my opinions, as I enjoy writing immensely.

In the purest sense, I’m a typical guy. I love sports and I welcome new activities into my life. This site is going to be a great collection of male insights from four male minds. With that said I really enjoy the mission and direction that site promises to provide and exemplify and I am greatly honored to be a part of this endeavor.

Here’s to the start of something amazing because at the very least, this site will provide countless memories and opportunities to share opinions, discuss topics, and pass along knowledge. With that said, let’s begin building a better me, a better you and a better us. There is no such thing as perfection, but the pursuit of perfection is just as, if not more, important. That’s what I’m shooting for.

Best regards,

Dan

By John,

The concept of self improvement is fluidic. No man will go through life without coming upon situations where he feels unprepared face his own inadequacies. Though genetics and our upbringing, what balances this feeling of incompetence is knowledge that we all possess areas of innate comfort and strength. We share this with the world and with our friends. The measure of a man includes both his strengths and his weaknesses, and that should not be forgotten as we march through existence. It is my goal to have JarJac serve as a portal through which we can share epiphanies, experiences, and opinions on those issues which most directly impact a generation of men today.

No man is perfect, but we can all strive to be better today than we were yesterday. Opening your mind always starts the journey to face a challenge. Look in yourself and see the person you want to be, and hopefully JarJac can help you reach that goal.

Ryan started us with this idea, and as it evolves I have come to believe we will develop a community that stands upon unique ground on the Internet. I hope this website will be an online monument encouraging us to take the hardest steps in life with ease. I’m excited to be a part of reaching this goal, and as the site grows, I look forward to working together with all of you.

By Ryan,

This site has been a long time in the making.  Nearly two years ago, I possessed the desire to express myself in a forum that would understand and relate to my ideas.  Unfortunately, or fortunately, this gestation period allowed me to refine my thoughts on the world and refrain from sharing them with my audience until now.  I have several intentions for this site, all of which will allow me to express my creative, quarky, thoughtful, and sometimes unpopular viewpoints.

First, and most importantly for me, I intend Jarjac to be a home for my mind.  I find in today’s world, there are simply not enough opportunities to express one’s inner monologue with the rest of the world.  While I value efficiency and productivity, in the marketplace of ideas, very few words of commentary, education, and interpretation can be considered wasteful.  While I doubt I’m usually right—actually I’m rarely right—I desire a place where I can consider my playground.  I need a comfort zone where I feel uninhibited by the boundaries of daily life to speak my mind.  Regardless of whether there is an audience for this site, Jarjac will fill my personal need to analyze my surroundings.  From this analysis, I wish to improve myself and expand my horizons.  For me, home is where my head is and I welcome you to my home.

Second, I do not believe I can truly improve upon myself alone.  That is why I’ve encouraged several close friends of mine, whom I believe share a similar goal and share valuable thoughts eloquently.  The purpose of depersonalizing the blog, an idea contrary to most blogs on the web today, is to create a dialogue.  First, I know my friends will disagree with me at times.  I actively seek their dissent.  This is important, and I find that blogs today rarely incorporate different opinions.  In addition, I am excited by the prospect of creating an online publication with character developed from a variety of different voices sharing thoughts and ideas.  Besides, I consider this site a learning experience for myself, and I see diversity as a healthy addition to the site.

Third, while I cannot be certain there will be an audience, I have a desire to speak my mind to those who are willing to listen.  I hope I have something to offer to you, my reader.  I welcome you to Jarjac and I encourage you to send any of us an email to simply say hi, or to offer your own feedback on anything you read.  I am also excited to be able to share with you future additions to this site that we are working on to improve the community aspects.

Enjoy,

Ryan
