The rest of the Internet takes an approach to advertising that is, in our opinion, flawed. Rather than aiming for high click-through rates and page views, we want our sponsors to leave satisfied. We value good products that enhance our lives, and we are confident our viewers do to. Ads today are usually ignored by readers and considered noise. This is partly because the average person is bombarded with them and partly because there is no incentive to pay attention. By fostering relationships with sponsors, we provide two services unique in the advertising business. First, to eliminate noise, Jarjac only hosts a single advertisement in prominent position on the page. Second, due to selectivity,viewers become more likely customers, since viewers always know the ads are particularly relevant to them.
The details
- Jarjac only serves a single advertisement per page load.
- The dimensions for each advertisement are 125px wide and 100px high.
- We only sell ten sponsorships for any given period, so your ad will be rotated through and displayed on about ten percent of all page views.
- In addition to the linkable ad image, 75 characters may accompany the ad, displayed directly below it.
- Over the course of the month, the sponsor’s product/service will be highlighted in a unique post, acting as an endorsement, encouraging viewers to take notice.
Current Rates
The current rate for a sponsorship is $20 USD per month and this rate is valid until May 31, 2008. Another option, if the sponsor wishes to display its ad on every page for a given period, a “blockade” may be purchased at a price of $25 USD per day. Blockades suit specific time sensitive events and launches perfectly (e.g. A 24-hour sale).
